Saint Louis Based Company Wins Honors at the Women’s Technology Cluster annual Entrepreneur Venture Conference

St. Louis, MO (October 06, 2006) – Small Business Television Network, or SBTV.com, the first and only online television network focused entirely on providing news and information to entrepreneurs, was among 27 companies selected to present at the Women’s Technology Cluster’s (WTC) annual Entrepreneur Venture Conference in Mountain View, California.  SBTV.com was chosen from more than 150 high tech and life science firms from across the nation and as far away as China, to present at the WTC event.  The conference is the only major national event exposing women-led technology start-ups to Silicon Valley’s investment community.  Since 2003, WTC’s Venture Conference companies have raised over $175 million in financing and have returned $88 million to investors.

SBTV.com was recognized at the 2006 Entrepreneur Venture Conference as the top tech company with the best investment opportunity.  SBTV.com CEO Susan Wilson Solovic presented for the online information network and picked up the award; “This has been an amazing experience and it is so exciting to receive this recognition in a field of extraordinary and promising companies.  The award for SBTV’s presentation is the culmination of a very rewarding experience made possible by the Women’s Technology Cluster Catalyst Program.  With only 5% of VC money finding its way into women-led start-ups, WTC’s annual Entrepreneur Venture Conference provides an excellent platform for women-led technology companies.”

SBTV.com was chosen for a Stevie Award for Most Innovative Company, Up to 100 Employees in the 2005 American Business Awards.  SBTV.com was named one of the top ten finalists for the Dell/NFIB Small Business Excellence in Customer Experience Award in 2005.
