Dorothy Attwoodis Senior Vice President – Public Policy and the Chief Privacy Officer for AT&T Services, Inc. A respected communications policy expert, Attwood leads the development and implementation of AT&T’s strategic international, federal and state public policy initiatives across all AT&T lines of business – including wireless, Internet, video and wireline services – in the increasingly fast-paced, converging and dynamic communications marketplace. As Chief Privacy Officer, Attwood has oversight responsibility for the development and implementation of enterprise-wide policies governing the privacy of customer information. She has participated in Chief Privacy Officer meetings with members of the European Parliament, European Commission and Data Protection Authorities in Europe.

Attwood regularly speaks at key communications-related events and actively participates in academic, think-tank and industry policy forums. She has addressed international conferences and policymakers on a variety of Internet, technology and privacy policy issues, including participating in the Internet Governance Forum most recently held in Rio de Janeiro. This Fall, Attwood will moderate a panel discussion at the World Political Forum conference themed "From Global Warnings to Media Alert" in Venice and participate in the World Economic Forum’s Global Advisory Council on the Future of the Internet in Dubai. Attwood also is a regular participant in the Joint Roundtables on Communications Policy organized by the Aspen Institute India and contributor to the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
