Banks Cut Small Biz Credit

Finding capital to grow a small business is tough. These days many credit worthy business owners are finding their credit cut off by their bank. Ryan Fochler the owner of Dog Paw ‘n Cat Claws Pet Care, Inc. says that even with a credit score of 720 and an average growth in sales of 168 percent his bank cut his available credit without warning from 56-thousand dollars to just a-thousand dollars.

Inner City Businesses are Paired with Investors

According to one organization, business owners in inner city areas are 31-percent less likely than other businesses to find capital to start or grow. Inner City Capital Connections is a national non-profit organization that hosts programs to match inner city business owners with investors.   About a quarter of the businesses that participate in the matchmaking events will actually get an investment or loan offer.  This year’s event took place earlier this month but you can click here for more information about next year’s event.
