When it comes to turning the economy around Americans say are placing their faith in small business and science and technology leaders over the government.  In a recent speech President Obama also acknowledged the role that small businesses play in the current economy.  However, one recent survey reports that 63-percent of Americans are saying that small business and entrepreneurs will lead the U.S. to a better future, while only 31-percent are placing their faith in the leadership of government.

Rush for Tax Refunds May Not Help Entrepreneurs

Consumers are rushing to get their tax refunds this year and small businesses hope it will work out to their favor.  According to the National Retail Federation, two thirds of Americans are expecting a refund this year and 71-percent of them have already filed their taxes.   NRF President and CEO Tracy Mullin recommends that, retailers who are planning to offer special promotions during tax season may want to consider rolling them out as soon as possible.  However the recent survey finds that most people plan to use their return on savings or to pay down debt.

National Women’s History Month is this Month- and Meryl Streep is Teaming Up to Bring Women’s History to a National Museum
